The PEA (Plan d'Épargne en Actions) is an account allowing to invest in European equities while benefiting from advantageous taxation. It is intended for individuals who wish to invest their money over the long term and benefit from the growth of equity markets.
💡 Main benefit: Gains (dividends and capital gains) are exempt from income tax after 5 years, only social contributions remain due.
🎯 Objective: Build a portfolio of eligible European equities, UCITS or ETFs, while enjoying the capitalization effect.
Concrete example:
Julien opens a PEA with €20,000 and invests in a Europe ETF. After 7 years, his capital reaches €35,000. He does not pay tax on earnings, only social contributions of 17.2%.
Tip:
PEA is a long-term investment: the more you let your money invest, the more favorable the taxation becomes and the potential growth significant.
